Info
Lucas Baba lives and works in Paris. He'll be in Japan from November 11th.
I make films, photographs, books and texts. They keep asking the same things: who we are, why it’s absurd, what any of it means. I don’t try to answer them. Rilke said to live the questions, so I try to live everything: the people I love, the places I leave, the windows I stand at too long. I shoot on film, I write between the images, and I compose carefully, then leave room for what I couldn’t plan. That’s usually where the life is.
He started with photography and is moving toward cinema. The notebook is where both meet.
